Breakfast Club

Posted by Mr Waywell on May-17-2012

These SATS are pretty hard and in science we’ve learned that a good breakfast is key to waking that all important brain!  Hence ………….Breakfast Club!  Waking up at the early hour to eat a range of cereal and toast (mostly covered in chocolate spread) has helped us get ready for the AMAZING tests!

If you look closely I think the chocolate spread didn’t only end up on people’s toast!

Hmm………Have we got more new girls?

How to do a reading test?

Posted by Mr Waywell on May-13-2012

As SATS approach, our task was to produce an information programme that gave advice on completing a reading test.  What should you do before the test?  How do you complete it?  How should you unwind afterwards?

The answers to these questions were given in quite a funny way by most groups.  As ever, Year 6 don’t need much persuading to get the fancy dress out!

How do you make those bulbs bright?

Posted by Mr Waywell on May-13-2012

Year 6 are getting pretty good at the old electrics now!  We can make a range of circuits and have even used them to power our ‘River Building’ projects.  (I’ll post the photgraphs when they’re finished!)  Today we looked at another experiment.

Each group where given a number of different circuits to make.  They then had to decide which circuit made the bulb the brightest.  Can anyone remember which was the brightest?  What about which made the bulb duller?

The Olympics

Posted by Mr Waywell on May-13-2012

A group of children were really lucky last week and went on a trip to London to see the new Olympic village and stadium.  It was a long day (getting back after 1am) but reports say that it was equally a brilliant one!  Tay and Sunbed were the lucky ones from our class and managed to take a few cool pictures!  Take a look.

Aaargh! What happened to the biscuits?

My goodness all 3 brand new packets of biscuits came out of the packet like this!  Should I complain?  What do you think?  (Or is their another culprit?)
