Look how fab Year 6 looked at our Easter Disco!

It was lots of fun, though someone said Mr Waywell’s dad dancing was a bit too “cringe”.

Blackpool Zoo

Posted by Mr Waywell on Apr-9-2019

Last week Year 6 went to Blackpool Zoo.

We had a lesson to link to our topic about Darwin and the adaption of animals and then spent the rest of the day looking at the other animals, playing on the park, chasing seagulls from our food and spending money on ice creams and slush!

As we move closer to Easter. today Year 6 led the school through the stations of the cross.

In small groups the school went to each station where they looked at what was happening in the picture and shared a short reflection.

Well done Year 6!

Out Garstang walking club was very long indeed! (7 miles!)

Along the way we got stuck in a lot of mud, crossed many fields and warmed up with some hot chocolates at lunch!

Victorian Day

Posted by Mr Waywell on Apr-5-2019

The Victorian times returned to Year 6 for a school day with a fierce teacher and a very strict PE teacher.

With Victorian names we took part in some lessons from the time to see what the differences are.

Posted by Mr Waywell on Apr-5-2019

As part of World Faith Week, Year 6 visited the temple in Ulverston.

We learned about Buddhism, visited the temple, took part in meditation and then went down to the beach for a play.
